Graceland Hotel, Casino and Country Club is open for business

Gaming activities has resumed with a limited number of players per tables game and alternate slot machines being disabled to ensure adherence to social distancing requirements.

SECUNDA – The public will be pleased to know that Graceland Hotel, Casino and Country Club is back in business.

The resort’s reopening is in compliance with provisions as stipulated by the Department of Health (DOH) and World Health Organisation (WHO).

When visiting Graceland all precautionary measures must be adhered to such as sanitising and wearing a face mask or shield at all times.

There will also be temperature screening. If a temperature of 37.5ºC and higher is recorded, access will not be permitted.

Precautionary measures also include record keeping of guests at entrances, thorough and regular cleaning of all areas and touch points, as well as the deployment of extra hand sanitiser dispensers to key public areas.

In order to effectively manage capacity, access to the various gaming areas is limited to Winners Circle loyalty members.

Peermont Walmont is a four-star hotel, featuring 98 rooms with panoramic views over the golf course or pool terrace. It has been open for business travellers from 1 July, as per government legislation.

All hotel rooms are deep-cleaned with utmost care and hygienically sealed, with all non-essential, high touch-point items being removed.

Guests can enjoy a delicious plated breakfast a Madison’s Bistro and Family Restaurant where the tables have been spaced out to adhere to social distancing.

The Gary Player designed 18-hole championship inland links-style golf course is fully operational, with the remaining restaurants.

Rootz Boutique Spa and leisure facilities are opening in due course.

The Convention Centre is also regulated according to the necessary social distancing measures per venue.

“We are excited to reopen and to welcome guests to Graceland. Peace of mind remains paramount during these uncertain times, and that is why we have enforced a multi-layered set of protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being and safety of our guests. In addition, our employees have also been fully briefed and trained on best practices,” said Mr Pieter de Villiers, general manager.

As per legislation, guests are required to continue practicing good hygiene, wear mandatory protective face mask or shields, and practice social distancing.
