HIGHVELD – The South African Technology Network (SATN), a Consortium of 13 technology-focused institutions, has been awarded a fully-funded contract by the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) to provide certified training to unemployed youth and young adults in line with labour market requirements.
This learnership programme includes a two-month long theoretical training and 10 months of mentorship or in-service training for 4 400 UIF beneficiaries in the fields of hairdressing, beauty and nails, real estate and environmental practices.

“Considering the negative impact that the Covid-19 pandemic regulations have had on most businesses, both big and small, we hope that by absorbing additional human resources, this will assist you to get back on your feet, boost business productivity and to quickly recover financially, whilst contributing to training youth in our country at no cost to you or your company,” said Ms Khanya Mtshali, media officer for the SATN.
