A father who allegedly raped his daughter repeatedly, appeared in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 13 October.
#IAM, a human rights organisation that advocates against all social ills, urged the community to be outside the court, dressed in black.
A strong message was to be sent about the crime.
According to Mr Louis Thabethe, the case was postponed to 19 October for a formal bail application. The public was not allowed in court due to Covid-19 regulations, but Mr Thabethe said the magistrate allowed at least 15 people to attend, after his discussion with the court manager.
“We will be back in court in numbers on Monday to oppose bail,” Mr Thabethe added.
