Evander Regional Court will decide next month on trial date for Jaco Jordaan

On 25 November a date will be arranged between the parties to start with the trial proceedings.

EVANDER – The multi-million rand fraud case against Mr Jaco Jordaan has been postponed to 25 November when a date on which to begin his trial will be decided on.

Mr Jordaan appeared briefly in the Evander Regional Court on 14 October.

This businessman from Heidelberg is being accused of defrauding more than 100 people out of their pension money in what police believe was a Ponzi scheme.

The matter was postponed to 25 November to finalise all outstanding documentation as well as discussions.

On 25 November a date will be arranged between the parties to start with the trial proceedings.

The state indicated that they have other forensic accounts that need to be finalised and have noticed certain other payments which will be included in the charge sheets.

Mr Jordaan is currently out on bail.
