Amanda le Roux mentors and ministers to varied women’s groups in Standerton
It covers 20 pages of teachings on God’s blueprint for women’s identity.
Ms Amanda le Roux’s devotional journal was launched in Standerton on Tuesday, 3 November.
She manages Ariella Ministries from home and has travelled extensively to countries such as Israel, Malawi, Namibia, Germany, Florida in the USA, several islands in Indonesia, Java, Papua-New Indonesia and Switzerland in the past 20 years.
“My journal is called ‘Women God’s secret weapon’,” Ms Le Roux said.
It covers 20 pages of teachings on God’s blueprint for women’s identity and includes 180 pages for personal spiritual notes.
There was a continental Zoom-presentation on Sunday, 1 November as well. Amanda shies away from the title of ordained pastor, being more comfortable with ‘Mama Africa’, the name used by some in communities.
“My focus is to train and equip the body of Christ to higher dimensions of prayer and intercession,” she explained.
She mentors a varied group of women daily and was forthcoming on which problems women have to deal with.
Issues such as emotional pain and hardship caused by childhood trauma, the absence of unity in families and lack of discipleship at a young age are prevalent.
“Sexual abuse and molestation are recurring themes,” she added.
She is closely involved in a project called ‘Hope, Healing and Restoration’, led by Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng.
Even though Amanda has been offered ministry opportunities elsewhere on more than one occasion, she loves Standerton.
“I strongly believe the glory of God will be restored in our town,” she concluded.
