Vukta thanks its passengers in eMbalenhle

Vukta treats its passengers with lunch snack

eMBALENHLE – Some Sasol employees and contractors from extensions 4 and 12 have decided to park their cars and travel with taxis to work in support of Vukanini Taxi Association (Vukta).

This came after the association recently met with the workers and explained to them how carpools are negatively affecting the taxi business.

Vukta handed over lunch snacks to these passengers from extensions 4 and 12 as a token of appreciation for their support on Friday, 13 November.

Mr Kgotso Khasibe, known as Smackdown, said Vukta is committed to building a healthy relationship with its passengers and the community.

He is happy that this matter was resolved without violence.

“They were using their cars and end up giving each other lifts which affected out business.

“We met and resolved this matter without violence and I am glad that we have a healthy relationship with our passengers.

“We decided to give them a lunch treat just to thank them for supporting us.”

He said the support from these passengers who are working for Sasol was a big boost for the business considering the challenges brought by the national lock down.
