Women instructed on steps to take in cases of gender-based violence in Standerton

Mr Linda Dhlamini, mayor, delivered the keynote address.

The Department of Social Development hosted a campaign about gender-based violence in the Ext 6 Hall on Wednesday, 25 November.

According to information, the event focused on ending such violence in the workplace.

It formed part of the 16 days of activism for no violence against women and children.

Mr Linda Dhlamini, mayor of the Lekwa Municipality, delivered the keynote address.

The event concentrated on women in the informal sector and they were also informed on the steps to take, once violence is perpetrated.

The campaign will end on Human Rights Day, 10 December.
