Highveld Ridge SPCA takes on the jailhouse challenge – more to come in April
The SPCA has more in store for April, which is Animal Cruelty Awareness Month.

EVANDER – The Highveld Ridge SPCA’s kennels were home to four “surrendered” humans on Saturday, 27 March.
Ms Mariska “Ginger Kitty” Strydom, Ms Jennifer “Glitter Sparkles” Lee, Ms Marié “Fluffy Bunny” Henriëtte and Mr Dawid “Killer canine” Viljoen spent more than two hours behind bars for the SPCA’s Jailhouse Challenge.
For each R500 raised, committee members were to spend an hour in the kennels.
“We don’t mind. This just a fraction of what the animals go through,” said Ms Lee, secretary.
Ms Strydom is the chairman, Ms Henriëtte is the vice chairman and Mr Viljoen is responsible for marketing.
They thanked everyone for their donations, especially Ms Emmerentia Nel who was donated the most money to the cause.
