Mrs Mpumalanga initiates Winter Blanket Drive

“The main purpose is to provide warm blankets to the needy to relief them from the cold this coming winter,” she said.

Ms Ntombi Ngobese, Mrs Mpumalanga, and Ms Lindy Nyathi, Queen of eMalahleni 2021, began a Winter Blanket Drive for less fortunate people and the elderly of Witbank and Ermelo.

They aim to collect 50 blankets which will be divided and donated to residents from both areas by the end of May. Ms Ngobese said they will approach people and local businesses to help them with the donations.

“The purpose is to provide warm blankets to the needy to relieve them of the cold of this coming winter,” she said.

She said there are too many people who needlessly suffer due to not having blankets during winter.

These women believe that changing the world begins by making a change in the immediate environment in which they live.
