Patients sustain possible head and spinal trauma after accident on N11 at Wesselton/Boxer Shopping Centre

Three vehicles, a Chevrolet Aveo Ls, a minibus taxi and small truck were involved in the collision.

Three patients were seriously injured after a multi-vehicle accident on the N11 in front of the Wesselton/Boxer Shopping Centre on 14 May.

According to paramedics who attended the scene, they were dispatched at about 7.20am.

The truck overturned and came to a standstill on its side.

Two occupants of the Chevrolet were transported by two of the Provincial Ambulance Services’ ambulances with serious injuries.

The extent of their injuries according to one of the paramedics are possible head as well as spinal trauma.

Another occupant from the Chevrolet – with broken ribs, was transported to hospital by Igagu Emergency Medical Services.

Occupants of the taxi and truck did not sustain any serious injuries.

Information on what transpired was not available to the Highvelder at the time of publishing.

Msukaligwa Fire and Rescue Services, the local traffic department as well as towing services were also on the scene.
