Men’s Forum from Standerton ready to address problems
The forum will register as an NPO and intends to implement programmes in the community to make a difference.
The Men’s Forum in Azalea is fully aware of the community’s problems and will attempt to make a difference.
Their focus will be on infrastructure challenges, the high unemployment rate and drug and alcohol abuse.
The committee, consisting of residents between 28 and 60 years, is chaired by Mr John Gloub.
“Most of the young men are jobless,” Mr Gloub said.
“Most of the learners who completed matric, are without a job as well.”
The forum will register as an NPO and intends to implement programmes in the community to make a difference.
“We also want to engage with the Lekwa Municipality about service delivery issues,” he added.
They want to keep the lines of communication open between themselves and the community to build trust in society.
The forum is involved with handing out food packages, and also help with financial assistance when someone has lost a loved one.
“We want to fix that which weren’t fixed in the past,” Mr Gloub concluded.
