Isabella’s family needs R350 000 to transfer her to private hospital

The family stated that the only option left was to have her transferred to a private hospital, but they do not have a medical aid or the financial capability to do so.

The Stark family needs R350 000 to have little Isabella transferred to a private hospital.

Thus far, an amount of R35 000 has been raised by the community of Ermelo.

The family has extended their heartfelt gratitude.

According to Ms Julia Basson, spokesman for the family, in order for a helicopter to be dispatched to Ermelo Provincial Hospital to transfer Isabella, R350 000 is needed urgently.

Isabella needs to be admitted to a hospital with a pediatric intensive care unit.

Her brain and organs were starved of oxygen for nearly 20 minutes in which time she also went into cardiac arrest.

At the hospital, doctors managed to resusitate her again.

Little Isabella Stark (1) of Ermelo, desperately needs the community’s help

ERMELO – Little Isabella Stark’s (1) first birthday now seems but a distant memory as she fights for her life in the Ermelo Provincial Hospital.

She was admitted to hospital early this morning after choking.

According to her mother, Ms Monica Stark, Isabella had food in her mouth and fell.

When she began crying she inhaled the food, which then got stuck in her lungs.

The family carried out cardiopulmonary resuscitation and rushed her to hospital where she was put on a ventilator.

She is currently in a critical condition and the food is still lodged in one of her lungs.

According to information received, Isabella needs specialised care, but there aren’t currently any beds available at any of the government hospitals who provide this care.

The family have tried Steve Biko and numerous others, but to no avail.

The family stated that the only option left, was to have her transferred to a private hospital, but they do not have a medical aid or the financial capability to do so.

They are pleading with the community to please pray for Isabella.
