Voter registration off to slow start at Standerton Town Hall
Ms Angel Khanyile, DA MP, was also present on Saturday, September 18 at 9:30.
Voter registration took place for residents of Ward 10 at Standerton Town Hall the past weekend.
Municipal elections will take place on November 1 to elect councils for municipalities.
The Constitutional Court dismissed the application to postpone the elections till 2022.
Representatives of three political parties waited on Saturday, September 18 for locals to check their status.
The Freedom Front Plus, DA and ANC will seemingly contest this ward.
The previous DA-councillor, Mr Rosier de Ville, passed away on May 10 and the new candidate is Mr Deon Bekker.
Ms Angel Khanyile, DA MP, was also present on Saturday at 9:30.
The town hall was not busy at the time the newspaper left.
