Coal truck overturns outside Ermelo on Piet Retief road

“They were both treated on scene and transported to Ermelo Provincial Hospital by ER24 and Ermelo EMS,” he said.

ERMELO – A truck transporting coal overturned on the road from Ermelo to Piet Retief on September 20.

According to a paramedic, who was on scene, the accident took place about 35km outside Ermelo around 20:30.

He said the driver and his passenger sustained minor injuries.

“They were both treated on scene and transported to Ermelo Provincial Hospital by ER24 and Ermelo EMS,” he said.

Sheepmoore police, Mskualigwa Fire and Rescue Services, EMS and ER24 were on the scene.

He concluded the truck and it’s trailers sustained extensive damage and the payload was spread across the road.
