Keenan Moosa of Ermelo wears his talent on his sleeves

'I love enhancing fabrics by making it custom and bringing it to life with my paintings.'

ERMELO – Mr Keenan Moosa is a self-taught artist who paints on fabric. His love of the arts stemmed from his childhood.

“When I was little. I use to go to work with my mum, and she would give me clean sheets of paper to draw on.

“My imagination would kick in and my mind ran wild,” he said.

He decided to pursue a career in painting on clothes.

He loves fashion and keeping up with the trends.

“I love enhancing fabrics by making it custom and bringing it to life with my paintings.”

He does not have a set style and said he constantly pushes the envelope to ensure each piece is unique.

Mr Moosa describes himself as an artistic soul.

Apart from his main love, which is painting, he enjoys composing music, has his own clothing brand and also does graphic designing.

His work ranges from quirky cartoons to detailed portraits of people.
