
A 13-year-old boy sustained serious injuries when he was struck by a car along the R29 in Kinross on Thursday afternoon, October 7.
Mr Werner Vermaak, corporate communications manager at ER24 ambulance services, said their paramedics arrived on the scene shortly before 14:30 and found a first aider and the police attending to the child in the road.
“The paramedics continued to treat the boy on the scene for a serious head injury. He was stabilised and rushed to Evander Hospital for further treatment,” Mr Vermaak said.
The driver of the vehicle was not found on the scene.
“The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not yet known.”
