Two vehicle collision leaves five injured in Delmas
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
Five people were injured on Monday, October 11, one critically, when two vehicles collided at the R50 and R548 intersection in Delmas.
ER24 and the Provincial Fire Services arrived at 19h39 to find one vehicle in the road while another was on the side of the road. A woman was found seated inside the one vehicle while four others were seen walking around.
Medics assessed the patients and found that the woman was in a critical condition while the four others had sustained minor injuries.
Medics treated the patients and provided the critically injured woman with advanced life support interventions.
Once treated, the woman was airlifted by a private medical helicopter to a hospital while three others were transported by ambulance. One patient declined transportation to a hospital.
