Sasol plants trees at daycare centre
It was hands-on activities, including the painting of the facility, establishing of a vegetable garden and planting trees in honour of Arbor Day.
Sasol planted trees and a vegetable garden and also painted the Day by Day Daycare Centre at eMbalenhle on Wednesday, November 10.
Ms Mashudu Ndou, vice president: Corporate and Community Affairs, said the Sasol for Good programme encourages all Sasol employees to get involved in community development by volunteering time, skills and resources.
It was hands-on activities, including the painting of the facility, establishing of a vegetable garden and planting trees in honour of Arbor Day.
Sasol employees were playing, dancing and teaching pre-school children on how to play with new toys donated by the company.
The centre management thanked Sasol for its contribution and said these were the best gifts they received from the petrochemical giant.
“As we are planting these trees, they will be a remembrance that we once visited and done something for this daycare centre.
“These trees will play a major role in nature and environment preservation as we care about the environment,” said Ms Ndou.
Ms Ndou also thanked the small local SMMEse’s who are contributing towards the Sasol for Good programme.
