NLF undertakes various projects in Standerton area

“We will not stand on the side line and just accept the deteriorating state of Standerton.”

Northern Light Foundation (NLF) conducted various projects in Standerton during October, which included painting dangerous crossings and cleaning projects.

According to a press release from Mr Hillel Coetzer, dated November 3, projects were launched in the following areas: at the intersection of Coligny Street and the R39 where more than 25 bags of refuse were removed, on the R546 up to Esdoorn where more than 45 bags of refuse were removed.

They also launched their weekly Standerton River Park project.

About 400 bags of refuse were removed from the park.

They painted stop signs at the following streets: Von Backström Street and Beyers Naudé Street on the way to Hoërskool Standerton.

NLF thanked their members for their contributions, as well as Paints Africa for the road marking paint and Lekwa Clean Up crew for their assistance.

“Northern Light Foundation is gaining momentum in Standerton, ensuring a safer and cleaner environment,” Mr Coetzer said.

“We will not stand on the side line and just accept the deteriorating state of Standerton.”
