Prompt attention to hazardous scene on R35 between Morgenzon and Standerton

Diesel and oil were spilt on the road as well as coal on the left lane and road shoulder.

An accident on the R35 between Morgenzon and Volksrust early on Wednesday, November 24 caused a fuel and coal spillage.

According to information, the driver of a coal truck allegedly lost control over the vehicle and it overturned.

He sustained minor injuries.

Diesel and oil were spilt on the road as well as coal on the left lane and road shoulder.

Community members took the task in hand of collecting the coal.

Morgenzon Police, Lekwa/Morgenzon Fire and Rescue, an Eskom-route monitor officer and an emergence team responded.

Traffic control was on the scene, as well as a towing service.
