Employees can test for Aids at Sasol

Company launches campaign of 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children.

Sasol launched its 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children that kicked off recently under the theme “Dlala Indima” which means ‘play a part’.

Sasol also commemorated World Aids Day and held a candlelight memorial service at the Brandspruit Mine on Wednesday, December 1.

This service was followed by health screening and HIV testing that is available for all employees.

The testing and screening began on Monday, November 29 and will continue until Saturday, December 11.

Ms Mashudu Ndou, vice president and head of Corporate and Community Affairs at Sasol, said the “Dlala Indima” campaign is a call on all men to respond to calls for action in all areas of life and to take the lead and speak out and report gender-based violence.

“Sasol supports Government’s theme of moving from awareness to accountability because we all need to be vocal and report any act of gender based violence that we see,” said Ms Ndou.
