Police hold Easter prayers at Bronkhorstspruit Police Station

Members were encouraged to forgive, love and protect one another.

Easter is currently being celebrated around the world to mark the Resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his death by crucifixion.

The offices of Social Crime Prevention, Corporate Communication and Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) therefore came together to hold an Easter prayer among its members.

A group of officials and members gathered in the Bronkhorstspruit Police Station conference room on Monday, 8 April to pray for divine intervention.

Chaplain Maile, Lieutenant Colonel Kabini and Reverend Machebe from the local community went through a series of sermons about the seven sayings of Jesus Christ on the cross.

Machebe encouraged members to have an intimate relationship with God while Kabini motivated members to believe in God.

“Some people go to church, even though they are still non-believers. God is real, believe in Him and act in accordance with your belief,” Machebe advised.

“Members were encouraged to forgive, love and protect each other. All prayed together for God’s protection during their duty to fight crime,” added Constable Catherine Ramovha, media spokesperson for the Bronkhorstspruit Police Station.
