Charl Cilliers Police welcome junior station commander
The Batho Pele Principles, the police’s Code of Ethics, and vision and mission were presented and explained to the learners.
The Charl Cilliers Police Station management appointed Anele Masina from the Joubertsvlei Combined School as their junior station commander on April 27.
Anele was welcomed during an event where the police also launched a Human Rights awareness campaign at the Joubertsvlei Combined School.
The campaign focused on the appointment of the junior station commander, human rights, crime prevention, forms of abuse, gender-based violence and suicide.
The children and teachers were addressed about human rights and responsibility
The station commander, Capt NE Khanyile, addressed crime related issues and sensitised the reporting of different crimes, and also spoke of the Academics Against Crime awards where the best learners will be awarded at the end of each term.
The Batho Pele Principles, the police’s Code of Ethics, and vision and mission were presented and explained to the learners.
The importance of discouraging bullying and cyberbullying and how it contributes to teenage suicides was also discussed.
The junior station commander was given the platform to address her fellow learners on crimes against children and the offices where these crimes can be reported.
Charl Cilliers’ Police Station commander, the Vispol commander W/O SJ Zwane, the communication officer W/O DW Mahlangu, the social crime officer, Const Millicent Mqoco and Human Rights Coordinator Mr Clement llaunched the placement of the Junior Station Commander at the Joubertsvlei Combined School.
