Toddlers of Rethabiseng learn about their rights
Together with the Department of Social Development, Department of Co-operative Government and Traditional Affairs and Mali-Martin Polokegong, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), a team visited the Happy Nursery Care and Luthando Day Care in Rethabiseng as part of National Child Protection Week.
The office of Social Crime Prevention and Corporate Communication embarked on a Child Protection program at crèche’s in the Bronkhorstspruit area.

Happy Nursery Care and Luthando Day Care in Rethabiseng as part of National Child Protection Week.
“National Child Protection Week, from May 29 until June 5, is an annual commemoration of the rights of South African children,” said Const Catherine Ramovha, communication officer for the Bronkhorstspruit Police.
The little ones from Rethabiseng were provided with information about child protection. They were also taught about their rights as a child in South Africa.
“Activities, such as drama, poems and singing based on child protection, domestic violence and human trafficking, made part of the performances on the day in order to teach children their rights in an understandable and fun way,” said Ramovha.
