Kids in Refilwe learn about safety

The police, together with the stakeholders, went about educating the little ones about their rights and safety and provided handy crime preventative tips.

The Cullinan Police, the National Youth Development Agency, the Victim Friendly Room also known as Mali-Martin, and Refilwe Kids recently embarked on a child safety awareness campaign.

The awareness campaign took place on Wednesday, July 13.

The police, together with the stakeholders, went about educating the little ones about their rights and safety and provided handy crime preventative tips.

“Even though it was during the school holiday, more than 200 children engaged in dialogue with the police and the stakeholders.

“The children also asked questions about their safety,” said Sgt Connie Moganedi, corporate communication officer for the Cullinan Police.
