Bronkhorstspruit Police commemorates Mandela Day
The Phumula Old Aged home, Mali Martin and Ucedo Day Care in the Bronkhorstspruit region expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the donations.
The office of Social Crime Prevention, Bronkhorstspruit Police corporate communication, Mali Martin and the Department of Social Development embarked on a Mandela Day Campaign.
As part of the 67 minutes on Madiba Day, participants embarked on a walk to fight against gender-based violence (GBV).
The group also painted a room at the Mali Martin place of safety on Monday, July 18.
Food parcels and vouchers were donated to Mali Martin, known as a place of safety.

Later during Mandela Day, the Bronkhorstspruit Police donated vegetables and fruit to the Phumula Old Aged Village.
The office continued its journey of celebration and giving on Wednesday, July 19 by handing over fresh vegetables and fruit to the Ucedo Day Care Centre.
“The little ones were also handed whistles with which to play,” said the communication officer for Bronkhorstspruit Police, Const Catherine Ramovha.
“The Phumula Old Aged Village and Mali Martin expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the donations.”
The office of Social Crime Prevention thanked the local businesses Prazers, Spar Supermarket and Food Hyper for taking hands with all the other parties involved to make this Madiba Day a wonderful and successful event.
