Water levels at Grootdraai Dam at 96.3%

Dam levels in Mpumalanga continue to drop, but are still above 90%.
The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) weekly state of reservoirs report, dated September 7, shows that the average dam levels dropped from 93.7% to 93.2% and this is about 13.4% higher than the 79.8% recorded during the same period last year.
In the water management areas (WMA), the Olifants dropped from 83.1% to 82.7% and the Inkomati-Usuthu dropped from 97.5% to 96.9%.
No listed dam recorded an increase in water volumes, but there are dams that recorded no changes.
In the Gert Sibande District, Vygeboom Dam remained unchanged at 100.4% and Loskop Dam remained unchanged at 100.1% in the Nkangala District.
Kwena from 98.9% to 97.7%, Da Gama from 97.0% to 96.0% and Inyaka from 84.6% to 82.7%.
Grootdraai Dam dropped from 97.0% to 96.3%, Nooitgedacht from 99.6% to 99.5%, Jericho from 95.6% to 95.0%, Westoe from 82.8% to 80.7%, Morgenstond from 99.8% to 99.7% and Heyshope from 100.0% to 99.9%.
