Riders kick up dirt at motocross champs between Bapsfontein and Rayton

The Official South African National Motocross Championship 2022 took place at Chestnut Hill Motocross Park situated between Bapsfontein and Rayton on Saturday, October 29.

This was sixth and final round of the competition and was attended by racers and spectators from across South Africa.

Local rider, Lleyton Botha, a Grade 6 learner from Du Preez van Wyk Primary School in Bronkhorstspruit finished third in the 65CC division.

“The wet and slippery ground made it more challenging for the riders,” said Lleyton’s father, Garry, but overall the cooler weather was appreciated by all.

Lleyton was also recently crowned the 2022 South African Northern Regions 65cc Motocross Champion.
