Men rape and rob two women in eMbalenhle
When the first woman entered her room, she noticed one man pointing a gun at her boyfriend while the other held a knife to her friend’s throat.
eMBALENHLE – The police in eMbalenhle are searching for two suspects who allegedly raped two friends and robbed them of their belongings in Ext 26, eMbalenhle on Friday afternoon, November 25.
According to Constable Busi Mthethwa, eMbalenhle Police spokesperson, the first woman was on her way to her friend’s room when she saw her friend and a stranger coming towards her.
The man was holding a knife to the friend’s throat. The two people passed the woman and entered her (the first woman’s) room.
Mthethwa said the complainant found this strange and she followed them. However, when she entered her room, she noticed a second suspect holding a gun at her boyfriend.

The door was suddenly locked behind her. The suspects first tied the boyfriend’s hands with rope and then they raped the women, forcing him to watch.
When they were done, the suspects demanded the complainant’s car ownership papers. She told them that she left the papers in Limpopo.
The men then demanded her car keys and also took the women’s cellphones, a laptop and R1 200 before speeding off in the complainant’s car.
According to Mthethwa, the value of the stolen items, including the car, is estimated at R200 000. Cases of rape and armed robbery were opened, but no arrests have yet been made.
