Police in Standerton arrest four diesel theft suspects

Vusi Zitha (42), Mduduzi Mthenjane (39), Makhosonke Dube (36) and Bonginkosi Thembinkosi Sibiya (30) were arrested in connection with diesel theft the past week.

According to Standerton Police, information was received about a white bakkie, with registration NU 42168, driving on the Vrede Road towards Standerton.

Police and Kasselman Security Services drove towards the R546, and while driving, noticed the bakkie and stopped it.

Two suspects at the back ran away and the driver and his passenger were apprehended. The third suspect was later arrested and the fourth at his home in Meyerville.

They were taken to Harrismith Police Station.
