Parkrunners reach milestones at Secunda parkrun

Louis Le Rous was congratulated on his 266th parkrun.

A jolly 352 parkrunners walked, jogged or ran Secunda parkrun event #339 on January 28. The weekend’s parkrun welcomed 37 first-timers to the parkrun Secunda South Africa family.

They are: Renier Louwrens, Francois Van Tonder, Boeta Van Tonder, Cecilia Johanna Steinberg, Thalita Louwrens, PC Pretorius, Pieter Pretorius, Elrika Erasmus, Lune Erasmus, Neels Nel, Wandile Mape, Thabile Mamane, Obakeng Mametse, Thandiwe Magagula, Christo Brown, Maryna Pretorius, Miané Pretorius, Nontobeko Kheswa, Unami Makhoba, Johann van Heerden, Jaundré Nothnagel, Khayone Dyasi, Nompumelelo Mtshali, Micke Kruger, Bongi Jiyana, Marietjie van der Merwe, CJ van der Walt, Reinhardt van der Walt, Armand du Preez, Thandeka Mthombeni, Barbra Etsebeth, Melissa Nothnagel, Miguella De Mesquita, Armelle Venter, Michelle Venter, Cindy Hampson and Liam Hampson.

Pippa Goldie was congratulated on her 179th parkrun. She also reached a milestone of 100 for volunteering.

Most of Goldie’s parkruns were done at UK’s Dulwich Parkrun where she is originally from.

Leopold Middelberg was the eldest male parkrunner at the age of 82 years. This was his 78th parkrun.

Louis le Rous was congratulated on his 266th parkrun. Alfred Moloi joined club 100, with all of his 100 parkruns done at Secunda parkrun.

The first three women to finish were Elsje Jefferies, Gabriella De Oliveira and Isabella Bezuidenhout. The first three men to finish were Wege Viljoen, Dirk van den Heever and Alfred Moloi.
