Cullinan Library Park gardens gets a face-lift.

As part of the Tshwane councillors’ cleanup campaign and beautifying and restoring old world charm, local councillor JB Bekker and his team set out to redo the gardens at Cullinan Library Park and Cullinan Primary School.

The indigenous ornamental grass adds lush plumes to the water-wise aloe planted in between.

“The small town charm should be enhanced with easily maintainable gardens and landscapes,” said Bekker.

“We had a session with Petro Lemmer, a botanist, well-known for her knowledge of plants and she showed us gems growing in the area and encouraged us to preserve our indigenous flora.”

This project is aimed to assist in saving funds on grass cutting in unnecessary areas and focus more on clearing road reserves.
