Equestrians compete in endurance race at Secunda
The ultimate battle took off from C&F Rigging, Genade, Vlakspruit Farm on April 14 and 15.
Equestrians competed in the Leandra Endurance Riding Club’s Ultimate Battle over the weekend of April 14 and 15.
The battle took off from C&F Rigging, Genade, Vlakspruit Farm.
In the 80km children’s race, Gerhardus Scholtz with his horse Armika Chantilly Lace finshed in first place with a time of 03:59:31.
Second place went to Nia-Lovese Van Der Merwe and horse Barabas in a time of 04:14:47. Third place was Monique De Jager and horse Lucky clocking in at 06:12:18.

In the 80km Young Rider category, Ilandi Kock and her horse Maak N Plan Majoor finished in first place with a time of 03:49:47.
Second place was Minke Kritzinger and horse Shakisha with a time of 03:54:15. Third place was Monique Jansen Van Rensburg and horse Al-Qadir with a time of 04:13:22.
In the 80km Light Weight category Francisca Strydom and horse FS PS I Love You claimed the first place spot with a time of 03:18:11.
Following closely behind in second place with a time of 03:19:26 was Elrize Basson with her horse CLM Pula.

Third place was Bianca Steyn and her horse Salit clocking in at 03:42:07.
The 80km Standard Weight category first place went to Ewen Mellet and horse Zazoo finishing with a time of 03:44:48.
In second place were Frikkie Oosthuizen and his horse Tarek Accapela with a time of 04:05:44.

Third place was Linde Jansen Van Nieuwenhuizen and horse El-Chitan Richelieu finishing at 04:08:43.
The 80km Heavy Weight category was won by Barrie Badenhorst and his horse Deo-Gratias Ecaho Za with a time of 03:54:51.
Second place was taken by Peet Hattingh and his horse Ras-El-Bandar Oprah in a time of 04:03:53.
