FOLLOW UP: Another suspect in custody for policeman’s murder
The two suspects will appear in the Piet Retief Magistrate's court on May 22.
A second suspect was arrested on Saturday, May 20, in connection with the murder of Warrant Officer Langelihle Hlatshwayo in the Piet Retief area last year.
The 39-year-old suspected cop killer was arrested in Eziphunzi, eThandukukhanya at Piet Retief in a joint collaboration of the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation based in Secunda and the Secunda K9 Unit.
Another suspect (30) was arrested in Evander on Thursday, May 18. The two suspects will appear in the Piet Retief Magistrate’s court on May 22.

Gunmen attacked and shot WO Hlatshwayo as he was entering his house on February 18 last year.
He was taken to the provincial hospital in Piet Retief and then transferred to Mediclinic Highveld in Trichardt where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Mpumalanga Hawks spokesman, Colonel Katlego Mogale, said more arrests cannot be ruled out.
