57 participants enjoy parkrun in Bronkhorstspruit

A total of 13 parkrunners improved their personal best times.

Bronkhorstspruit hosted its 174th parkrun on February 24. The event is a chance for the community, regardless of age or gender, to come together regularly to enjoy the outdoors and be physically active.

There were nine new members for this parkrun, and 13 parkrunners improved their personal best (PB) times.
Of the 57 participants, Danie Jacobs came first in 21:35.

Hanru Herbst finished second in 21:57, followed by Ryan De Steur (24:06), Dewald Bekker (24:40), Peter Kisbey-Green (26:36), Regardt Swanepoel (27:16), and Harry van der Merwe finished in 10th place in 28:35.

The volunteers who made this parkrun possible were Adri van Wyk, Amisha Rampersadh, André de Lange, Bhavna Rampersadh, Casper Strydom, Despina Rockas, Filia Rockas, Cornel Kotze, Marnus Herbst, Lelani de Lange, Matteo de Lange and Mikhail de Lange.

The residents grab a post-parkrun coffee weekly at Bronkiesbaai Restaurant or Art Café @ Anton Smit. The parkrun is a free weekly 5km event for participants of all fitness levels and all ages.
