GMM seeks new name for festival

The Govan Mbeki Municipality (GMM) appeals to residents to participate in renaming its annual jazz festival and choose a suitable date to host the event.
This festival, known as the Secunda Jazz Festival, was hosted at the Lillian Ngoyi Stadium on March 30 after a 13-year break.
The audience was entertained by well-known jazz and Afro-soul musicians.
Donald Green, the acting communications manager, said people can email proposals, names, and dates to communications@govanmbeki.gov.za or drop them in the comment section of the municipality’s Facebook page.
