Air Liquide supports Secunda Business Hub

Small business owners attend workshops.

Air Liquide Large Industries South Africa (Pty) (Allisa) sponsored the establishment of the Secunda Business Hub dedicated to helping small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) to grow by providing a range of resources.

During Women’s Month, Allisa professionals shared their knowledge and skills in specialised workshops hosted on August 27 and 28.

“We are excited to leverage the expertise of our employees to support local SMMEs,” said Lasad Jaouani, Allisa’s general manager and vice president.

“This initiative underscores our commitment to empowering local SMMEs through our enterprise development initiative, together with gender empowerment.

“To empower local businesses is crucial for economic growth. These workshops provide practical, actionable advice that entrepreneurs can immediately implement.”

Nomfundo Mduli, business hub manager, said: “The Secunda Business Hub is a beacon of opportunity, providing essential facilities and support to up-and-coming entrepreneurs.

“We cultivate innovation, collaboration, and growth, ensuring every business has the space and resources to flourish. The workshops hosted by Air Liquide helped us gain momentum in reaching more people.”

Founder of the Kidmatic Foundation, Ethel Kubheka, said: “Before attending these workshops, we were aware of the various aspects present in larger businesses but often found them irrelevant to our small enterprises.

“However, these workshops provided valuable insights, showing us how to apply these principles in our daily operations to help our business progress.”
