Standerton’s community stands together

In an uncertain world, the security provided by hardworking Standerton residents is a welcome change. These Standertonners work together to keep the community safe, fed, functioning and thriving.
On November 6, AfriForum partnered with Generator and Boiler Services to assist a passer-by whose vehicle broke down on FD Viljoen Road.
Generator and Boiler Services donated a trailer to help move the vehicle to an auto repair shop and Leon Enslin escorted the passengers to Secunda with the vehicle in tow.
“It is remarkable to see a community take hands and help one another without hesitation,” said the woman whose vehicle broke.

On November 7, Clr Corné Stoltz and his team were hard at work unclogging the Johann Street sewer line.
Kasselman Security Services donated the use of their water truck to this cause and with the help of Clearwater Plumbing, the drain was quickly unclogged.
However, these are not the only good deeds that keep our community ticking. The Kasselman Food Kitchen feeds hundreds of less fortunate people each week.
For many of these destitute residents, this is the only real meal they receive each week.

The Lekwa Clean-up Crew (LCUC) are always keeping the streets clean and taking on projects for the betterment of the town.
From picking up waste to keeping our graveyards clean and intact, the LCUC does good work throughout our town.
Wilma and Dankus Venter from the VF+ dive head first into bettering our community. Their green mark can be seen all over town as they take the initiative to fix problem areas and keep Standerton clean.
“The cooperation of these important role players better the community of Standerton and keeps our town united,” said André Kasselman of Kasselman Security Services.
