Standerton parkrunners brave the rain

The volunteers who made this rainy parkrun day possible were André Davel, Charl van Wyk, Jennifer Naidoo, Johannes Vosloo, Krishnalal Ramdharee, Leandri van Wyk, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Lydia Roets, Marjorie Uys, Noluthando Zweni, Priscilla Ramdharee, Renette da Sousa, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Strini Naidoo and Sylvy Moodley.

While many took shelter during the rainy morning of November 9, 25 dedicated parkrunners took on the 5km route. Though it was a slippery slope, Pieter Grobbelaar finished first in 28:27.

Wikus Pretorius completed in 29:00, followed by Kevin Armitage (30:11) and Andrew Ainsworth (33:22). Nitin Daya completed the rainy run in 34:34.

Salome Davel (39:19) and Andre Davel (45:30) were first-timers on the Standerton track. Danie Human completed the run in 47:20, followed by Sangeeta Daya (53:33), Fadeela Omar (53:34), Shameema Essak (56:17) and Sam van Niekerk (56:34).

Monica Swart finished in 56:36, followed by Pieter Swart (56:40). Kayleigh Greenslade and Nicholas Burnham both completed the route in 57:42

Leandri van Wyk finished in 58:12, followed by Tharina Maree (58:20), Krishnalal Ramdharee (58:26) and Strini Naidoo (58:27).

Priscilla Ramdharee took on the wet course and finished in (58:29) followed by Johannes Vosloo (58:32) and Sylvy Moodley (58:34).
Noluthando Zweni completed the run in 58:40.
