A female police constable (32) stationed at eMbalenhle, was rushed to hospital after a shooting at Ext 8, eMbalenhle on the night of November 13.

According to Brigadier Donald Mdhluli, the Mpumalanga provincial police spokesperson, a man shot the constable and another man (35).

The acting provincial police commissioner in Mpumalanga, Major General Zeph Mkhwanazi, condemned the senseless act of violence.

He raised concerns about acts of violence against women and this time, a police officer is the victim.
