Bethal SAPS need help finding robbery, theft suspects
According to the SAPS, the suspects offered victims a lift from a hitchhiking spot and robbed them of cellphones and money.
The police have released facial compositions of four men wanted in connection with robbery and theft that recently happened on two occasions in Bethal.
According to Sergeant Thomas Mogadime, the spokesperson for the Bethal SAPS, the suspects, aged between 30 and 40, drive a white VW Polo.
They allegedly stopped for hitchhikers at a hiking spot near Ermelo on separate occasions, offering them lifts. Three suspects wore blue overalls, and the fourth a red jersey with blue denims.

“In both incidents, the driver turned off onto Kippen Road and told the respective victims he just wanted to collect someone on that road,” said Mogadime.
According to Mogadime, a few meters further on Kippen Road, one suspect sitting next to the victim assaulted the victim and stole their cellphones and money.
The victims were handcuffed and left in a field.

The matter was reported to the police for investigation. Detective Constable Xolani Khuzwayo from the Bethal General Detectives engaged the criminal records and crime scene management for a composition.
Warrant Officer Matsoso, attached to Witbank Local Criminal Record Centre, was responsible for the facial composition.
Police urge anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact Detective Khuzwayo on 082 579 0177.
