Bronkhorstspruit SAPS remember those Aids claimed

“Annually on December 1, the world commemorates World Aids Day.”

The office of the station commander for the Bronkhorstspruit SAPS, Colonel Simon Dhladhla, commemorated World Aids Day with the office of employee health and wellness, local pastors, and the Tshwane Municipality Region 7 Health Department on December 2.

“Annually on December 1, the world commemorates World Aids Day. People around the world unite to show support for people living with HIV and to remember those who have died from Aids-related illnesses,” said Constable Constable Cathrine Ramovha, the corporate communication officer for the Bronkhorstspruit SAPS.

The day was commemorated under the theme, Take the right path.

“A person living with HIV who has an undetectable viral load does not transmit HIV to their partners,” said Ramovha in a media statement released on December 2.

This is according to the Tshwane Undetectable = Untransmutable (U=U) campaign. Throughout the remembrance, Dhladhla urged members always to help those living with HIV/Aids.

The members lit candles and bowed as a show of solidarity.
