eMzinoni police are searching for woman who dumped her baby
The infant’s body is still in the morgue.

The police in eMzinoni are searching for a woman who allegedly dumped the body of a fully developed baby boy near the sewerage plant in Ext 6 last October.
The infant’s body is still in the morgue.
According to Sergeant Cynthia Mtsweni, the eMzinoni police spokesperson, they need help to locate the mother or family.
No one has claimed the little body, and the police wish for the baby to have a dignified burial.
“The police received a call from the community members on October 11, last year, about a stillborn baby boy dumped at the Ext 6 sewerage plant. We expected to find a foetus, but this was a fully developed baby carried full term.
“We are appealing to community members with information about someone pregnant between September and October and without a baby to contact us,” said Mtsweni.
She said the police opened an inquest docket. Anyone with information may contact Mtsweni on 072 438 0978.
