Cullinan SAPS kicks 2025 off with school safety programme
Police operational commanders sensitised learners and teachers about the importance of safety at the school premises.
The Tshwane-Cullinan SAPS visible policing members and various stakeholders embarked on school safety programmes at the local schools on January 15.
Among the stakeholders were the Gauteng Traffic Police, Department of Health, Social Development, the World Health Organisation, Gender-Based Violence Brigades, EMS, patrollers as well Cullinan local Youth Desk members.
“Schools identified as part of the programme were secured by high police visibility and learners were welcomed,” said Sergeant Connie Moganedi, Cullinan SAPS corporate communications officer.

“Learners were also made aware of food safety, which includes food that is provided to learners,” Moganedi also said.
Knowledge about the Adopt-a-Cop programme was explained while parents were encouraged to be supportive of the school system.
“Parents’ support contributes to learners having a better chance to achieve their goals without unnecessary challenges.
“Learners overall responded positively to the police programme and promised to value education by refraining from all criminal activities that might affect their education,” Moganedi concluded.
