The Standerton Riverpark parkrun held its 286th event with 79 participants and saw six personal best (PB) times and eight first-timers on February 22.
Bongane Mpokane was the first finisher, completing the run in 18:54. Pieter Jansen van Vuuren finished in 24:19, followed by Eugene Viljoen (25:06), Pieter Grobbelaar (27:26) and Ayanda Dlamini (27:46). Parth Jayram finished in 28:09.
Mandla Mathaba achieved a new PB of 25:24, and Thabang Maboea finished with a new PB of 31:42.
Sam van Niekerk celebrated his 250th run.
The volunteers who made this event possible, were Charl van Wyk, Conrie Roets, Daniel Wright, Frans Vermaak, Jennifer Naidoo, Johannes Vosloo, Leandri van Wyk, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Lydia Roets, Marion Jean Robbertson, Noluthando Zweni, Preyanka Dorasamy, Renette de Sousa, Strini Naidoo and Zeldine Strydom.
