Mpumalanga Legislature brings government to the people of Delmas
A community engagement session saw the community raise a myriad issues, which were discussed and deliberated upon.

The Victor Khanye Local Municipality (VKLM) hosted the Mpumalanga legislature this week.
Provincial Speaker Lindi Masina, MECs and MPLs zoomed in on the VKLM for the week-long Taking Legislature to the People (TLP) programme, with the Mpumalanga premier joining on Friday.
The week began with constituency work in Ward 7. A community engagement session saw the community raise a myriad issues, which were discussed and deliberated upon.
“Community engagement sessions like this are a platform for residents to voice their frustrations and challenges, whether about service delivery, infrastructure, social services or other pressing matters,” explained Masina.
She said following up on the commitments made during the session and ensuring the implementation of tangible solutions was crucial.
“Transparency and accountability in addressing these issues will further strengthen the relationship between the legislature and the community.”
Masina’s delegation also did a venue assessment of the Simon Gondwe Sports Centre in Botleng, including a walkabout and inspection of the stadium’s facilities.
