Get ready for the Goldi Marathon in Standerton

The annual marathon on March 21 will start at 06:00 at Standerton High School and should end at about 13:00, coming back full circle to the high school.

It’s that time of the year again when over 800 runners travel to Standerton to participate in the Goldi Marathon.

The annual marathon on March 21 will start at 06:00 at Standerton High School and should end at about 13:00, coming back full circle to the high school.

According to Kobus Green, organiser of the marathon, the race generates a yearly influx of runners from all over SA to Standerton.

“We cultivate a feeling of belonging and accomplishment among our community members with the race,” said Green.
Supporters can join the fun and support their favourite racers.

The Northern Light Foundation will host a fun run beforehand for runners who want to join the event but have not trained for the daunting 40km track.
