SAPS, KSS nab robbers in Standerton
The incident comes amid a spike in crime in Meyerville over the past week.

A vigilant Stefina Street resident alerted Kasselman Security Services (KSS) to suspicious activity at about 06:00 on March 14.
This alert resulted in a high-speed chase and the arrests of three robbers. According to Jandré Kasselman, the suspects had held locals at gunpoint before stealing several valuable items from the home.
“I pursued the suspects towards Ext 6, but they abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot,” said Kasselman.
A large-scale search was launched involving KSS, the Standerton SAPS and Shabangu Brothers Security, with farmers providing drones and planes to help track the fugitives.
At the time of going to print, the SAPS had arrested three of the four suspects and recovered nearly all of the stolen.
Rising crime in Meyerville
The incident comes amid a spike in crime in Meyerville over the past week.
One resident described a terrifying home intrusion, “I woke up in the middle of the night and saw an intruder crawling beside my bed. It was truly traumatising. I no longer feel safe in my own home.”
Other residents have reported strange activities, including hearing footsteps on their roofs and noticing unknown individuals monitoring their homes.
In response, KSS increased patrols in the area and continues to respond swiftly to reports of suspicious behaviour. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity to KSS or the Standerton SAPS.
