Bethal SAVF urges men to be part of their children’s lives

The Suid-Afrikaanse Vroue Federasie (SAVF) in Bethal encourage men to be part of their children’s lives. The organisation held a campaign at the Bethal taxi rank on March 18, where they talked with taxi operators.

According to Snelisiwe Zwane, the organisation’s senior social worker, they held the campaign at the taxi rank because the majority of taxi operators are men.

“We often work with cases where parents, especially fathers, are absent and do not support their children, neither financially nor socially. That leaves children to be vulnerable, especially girls. We intend to encourage them to be part of their children’s lives.

“If they experience any challenges, they are encouraged to visit our offices where they will be assisted,” said Zwane.
