Azalea community stands up for children

Recently, the committee of ACRAC helped residents to fill in title deed forms and handed them to the municipality.

The Azalea Concerned Residence Action Committee (ACRAC) is a dedicated and active committee established in April 2024 to assist children in a community riddled with drug abuse.

“We are attempting to keep the youth of our community occupied by providing them with education regarding early-age pregnancy and drug abuse,” said Ronnelle Royston from ACRAC.

This organisation aims to see at least one person per household employed and has a WhatsApp group where they advertise job opportunities in the community.

Little ones enjoyed playing on the jumping castle.

ACRAC started an aftercare at ATEC to assist school children with homework.

The organisation hosted a fun day on March 29, where 120 children could enjoy fun activities such as bouncing castles and sack races.

They each received refreshments during the day. However, this organisation is not only based around the youth. Recently, the committee of ACRAC helped residents to fill in title deed forms and handed them to the municipality.
